Damn littlerachcat for getting me involved in THIS NONSENSE (EXPLAINATION HERE)

If I could be a scientist . . . I’ld be mad scientist. I’lld build rocket chairs and make mad potions that shrunk people’s heads. I would be the inventor of the stupid gun.
If I could be a farmer . . . I’ld be a pig farmer and sit in the muck and go oink oink with the little pink piggies all day long. In fact it would all be a shameless cover for Britains all pig vocal choir
If I could be a musician . . .I’ld be the vocalist in a mad funk-punk-jazz combo. Hair would be big and stand on end. We would be called the “Love Pirates of Doom”
If I could be a doctor . . .I’ld be a Barefoot Doctor any day of the week.
If I could be a llama-rider . . .I’d ride a fuzzy llama into the sunset of a mad Spaghetti Western for midgets

I now hereby annoy keefybabe, itsjustaname and querimonious with this silly meme.

Incredible Weekend

After a quiet night in with the missus on Friday, got geared up to go to Rock of ages on Saturday night. Apart from my stag do last September this is the first time I’ve been out clubbing for years!! It was also Ginger Matt’s leaving do. So time to get reved up for some major luncancy. First up was fun with hair. I’ve grown out my number three so large dollops of firm hold hair gel later and I was the possessor of a hair style which was a cross between Sid Viscous, Edward Scisscorhands and a mad professor. Unfortunately no photos were taken, so I may have to do it again!

Meet up with Ginger and Nice Andy at Becketts bank and sank a couple of nice ales while we chewed the cud about work and other such nonsense.

Next up was Tampopo. Maximum thanks to keefybabe for recommending this one. It was gorgeous!! We spent the whole meal saying how much better than Fuji Hieros it was. The only slightly surreal element was all the clanking and cooking noises, which made it sound as if we were eating by an Industrial music gig.

Meet lots of folks at the Fenton that I’ve not seen in yonks. It was good to see Foz, grannyannie, Richard, dr_misrule, deputy_dug, and Gothy Mark and Uncle Monty amongst others, who were all in fine shape 🙂

Then at some unknown time me, Ginger, Gothy Mark, Nice Andy, grannyannie & deputy_dug staggered up the road to the Union to go to Stylus & Rock of Ages. Defiantly no longer feel that connection with Leeds Union that I used to. Its all bright and sparkly! Stylus is impressive however. Kinda like a mini Nottingham Rock city. Danced loads to very cheesy music of my yoof and overall the experience was one of turning back the clock to 1995 and earlier !!

Overall I had a top time, but forgot about that weird end of the night thing were everyone staggers about in their own little drunk haze (yes it has been that long). Maximum thanks to grannyannie for telling me about the small and quiet taxi rank down near infirmary street. After a short walk down hill got a normally priced taxi and had a smooth ride home, were Rach was still up (after returning from her night out ) and made me pizza. Top!

Only question is when can I do this again?!?!

Please forward this onto anyone who knows the Ginger one but doesn’t read Live Journal

Look forward to seeing you for what should be a rocking night out!!!

The sun is shining outside….

….but I’m in the attic working from home coding away 🙂 For the last weeks I’ve been battling the inertia to start. Now I have and have made my first breakthrough I feel like I’m on a never ending exciting waterside:)

And all to the sound track of The Wipers (a band that influenced Nirvana majorly, basically an 80s punk psycadelic surf band)

Productive weekend

I’ve been commissioned to write for another HeroQuest Book by Issaries Inc.

Unlike the other book to which I’m merely contributing, which seems on indefinite hiatus as the Project lead works on a completely different project, I’m the Project Lead on this one since 75% of it is my work. Its a book of scenarios for Beginning GMs. I’ve also thrown in a couple of starting towns to act as ready made bases for the adventurers and two essays of tips and tricks (one for runing the game and another for writing adventures). I can’t say much more than this, due to Non-disclosure agreements, but its in four sections and I’ve polished off section one this weekend. Yah! This is good because I’ve given myself two months to put it together.

In other news Rach is really getting her head down and doing her assignments, rather than being a typical student and leaving it to the last moment.

One of life’s guilty pleasures….

One band I really like is The The. Its a pop band with a twisted sense of humour that sticks out like a sore thumb in my music collection of Men shouting over loud geetars.

But I like Matt Johnson, the more whingey and whiney the better. Pile on the bleakness and quirky background music. I will not run away from your 80s synths and drum machines. Come to me I love you!!

Sorry for the temporary insanity but Mr Newt has just bagged three lps (Soul Mining, Infected, and Mind Bomb) for a fiver each.

Ha ha hee hee……..

I’m the laughing Gnome and you can’t catch me.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee what a lovely day it is out in the Sunny Spring time streets of Manchester.I feel quite giddy.

Hi ho hi ho its off to code we go….bliss
